Hector Contreras Gofundme and Memorial

Hector Contreras was the visionary behind Musicology Productions – a vision to make a TV show that highlighted musical talent. His work and dedication to making his dream a reality flourished into the what Musicology has become today.
The Musicology show wouldn’t have happened if it weren’t for the vision and creativity of Hector Contreras. In December, December of 2019, Hector endured a mini stroke but nothing fatal a the time. In late August of this years, however, Hector encountered another stroke and got a blood clot in his brain. Doctors immediately operated but soon after, he got a lung infection. He was given antibiotics but unfortunately his body became too weak and gave out.

He is survived by his parents and his brother, Ruben.
Since Hector sadly passed away on August 24th, 2020, we at Musicology want to pay tribute. We have created a GoFundMe page in his honor where all proceeds will go straight to his parents.
In addition to the GoFundMe, there will be memorial to Hector Contreras on September 19th at the Oasis Botanical Sanctuary, 12393 1st, St. Yucaipa starting at 7pm to 10:30pm. There will be speeches, meet and greets, and music performed by bands that were touched and influenced by Hector in on way or another.

Musicology has suffered a great loss with the passing of Hector Contreras. We will do everything we can to support his family in their time of need and to carry on Hector’s dream of a prosperous Musicology.
